Likhachev, who spoke at the plenary session of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) this Friday, said that all SCO leaders who met with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the organization’s summit in China discussed the topic.
The CEO noted that interest was expressed in both large-scale nuclear power plants and small modular reactors, as well as in non-energy nuclear technologies, including medicine and agriculture.
“Even those states that are members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union actively want not only to cooperate, but also to develop cooperation with Rosatom in the field of nuclear technologies,” he concluded.
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum is being held in Vladivostok, Russia, from September 3 to 6.
The main theme of the 2025 Eastern Economic Forum is “Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.”
