Recently, the president of the Caribbean nation, Miguel Diaz-Canel, emphasized that Latin America and the Caribbean must remain a nuclear-weapon-free zone of peace, and urged the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States to defend these achievements in the face of the US military deployment in the region.
