“No place is safe, no-one is safe. The human cost of this violence and this incessant displacement is immense,” the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) affirmed on its X profile.
The institution criticized Israel for the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians living in that coastal enclave.
The agency underscored that they are uprooted from their homes by constant airstrikes and confined to small, insecure areas.
UNRWA warned of the systematic destruction of “buildings, schools, shelters, and hospitals” and expressed concern about “access to food, drinking water, and other essential supplies.”
In statements to Al Jazeera television, UNRWA Spokesperson Tamara Alrifai also condemned the forced displacement orders issued by the Israeli Army in the Strip.
