The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed satisfaction with the actions taken by many countries, particularly European ones, “against colonialism, its symbols, and associations.”
However, the diplomatic institution considered them insufficient compared to the level and magnitude of the challenges facing the State of Palestine.
The Foreign Ministry called to intensify international sanctions “to deter the extremist Israeli government and force it to end its crimes against our people.”
It also criticized the unilateral measures adopted by Israeli authorities, which, it said, threaten to spark a war in the Middle East.
The Ministry cited as examples the “worsening financial and economic strangulation of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA),” as well as famine and forced displacement in Gaza.
The statement denounced Israel’s escalating violence, despite growing calls from the world for peace.
