The Russian spokesperson’s statements come after Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated during his visit to Kiev on September 12 that NATO is not at war with Russia, although he accused Moscow of expanding the conflict beyond Ukraine.
For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, commenting on the lack of volunteers in the European Union for a war against Russia in defense of Ukraine, maintained that “this should have been recognized earlier.”
