According to the digital site, when speaking in the event the Korean ambassador in Havana, Han Su Chol, remembered that “on August 29, 1960 our country established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Cuba with the goal of developing bilateral and friendly relations that encompass all spheres”.

Rodriguez ratified that “we have full confidence that, under the leadership of our Parties, we will continue to strengthen the history and tradition of brotherhood and solidarity that unites us, and we will expand collaboration for the benefit of our villages”.
In the commemoration for both events, high officials of the Cuban government and representatives of national bodies and organizations were present, as well as diplomatic representatives of the DPRK.
