He underscored Prensa Latina’s commitment to highlighting efforts by the Global South nations in building sovereign and sustainable development models.
He mentioned the unjust and illegal US economic blockade against Cuba as a clear example of coercion that must be denounced.
Gomez proposed strengthening the collective commitment against the law of the strongest and giving a greater voice to the Global South countries.
He urged everyone to join the Voices of the Global South initiative, which already gathers information from a hundred international media outlets.
He emphasized that the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit showed how countries of the Global South coordinate policies to strengthen their global influence.
