The military institution specified that 25 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Rostov region, the same number over Krasnodar, 19 over Belgorod, 13 over Astrakhan, 10 over the Peninsula of Crimea, seven over Bryansk, and three over Yaroslavl and Volgograd.
The Defense Ministry added that five drones were also destroyed over the Sea of Azov, two more over the Black Sea, one over Kursk, and another over Voronezh.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov informed that one of the Ukrainian combat drones launched into the territory detonated near the municipal government headquarters in the city of Belgorod, injuring two civilians.
Meanwhile, the national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed at the airports in Sochi, Volgograd, Yaroslavl, and Ivanovo for the last day to ensure passenger safety.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the population from “the Kiev government’s genocide” and counter national security risks, according to President Vladimir Putin.
