The National Hurricane Center, in its report on system AL94, warns of an 80% probability of a depression forming in the next 48 hours as a result of this phenomenon.
Showers and thunderstorms continue to show signs of organization in association with a tropical wave located near Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and a low-pressure area is expected to form along the wave today as it moves near the southeastern Bahamas, the report states.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Humberto, located 750 kilometers northeast of the Leeward Islands, is packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour.
The third hurricane of the current hurricane season will move from west to northwest over the next two days, the scientific institution states.
