Vietnam Fatherland Front congrats Cuba’s grass-roots organization

Hanoi, Sep 26 (Prensa Latina) The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) congratulated the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) on the 65th anniversary of Cuba's largest grass-roots organization, to be observed on September 28.

Despite many hardships and challenges due to the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the United States in the last few years, the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the State, and the people “have made efforts to implement many solutions aimed at national development,” VFF Central Committee President Do Van Chien wrote.

Van Chien noted that by joining this common effort, Cuba’s CDRs promote their central role, bringing together people to make important contributions to protecting the Revolution and Cuba’s national security, and promoting social and community activities to build a beautiful country.

In his congratulatory message sent on Thursday, he underscored that the VFF and the Vietnamese people always appreciate the solidarity and unconditional support provided by Cuba to this nation, and are proud of the special and loyal relationship cultivated by President Ho Chi Minh, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, and generations of leaders.

The VFF wishes to enhance cooperation with the CDRs, especially the effective implementation of the Cooperation Agreement for the 2023-2028 period, to take collaboration to a new level for the benefit of both peoples, added the congratulation sent to CDR National Coordinator Gerardo Hernandez.

The letter also reaffirms that, in the current volatile global context, the Communist Party, the State, the VFF, and the people of Vietnam will always stand side by side with Cuba, seeking to seize opportunities and overcome hardships and challenges to develop the country.
