Later in the afternoon, improvisation lovers will enjoy the Oralitura Guateque “Tribute to Tomasita Quiala,” on Lenin Hill in Regla municipality, among other initiatives.
Tomorrow, at Pabellon Cuba, there will be a presentation of a documentary and the books “Musa 66,” by Rodolfo Romero, and “La magia de la redondilla,” by Silvio Castineira.
Meanwhile, the Casa de las Americas cultural institution will open its doors for a closing concert featuring Spanish singer-songwriter Pedro Pastor and guests.
Since its inauguration on September 25th, the festival has gained prestige with various initiatives and the talent of leading exponents of Cuban improvisation.
Sharing the stage are 30 artists from different provinces and guests from seven nations, including Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chile, and Spain.
The IV Oralitura Habana Poetic Improvisation Meeting is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Controversy of the Century, the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Experimental Chair of Improvised Poetry, the 50th anniversary of the death of Francisco Riveron, and the 95th anniversary of the birth of Inocente Iznaga, El Jilguero de Cienfuegos.
