The senior diplomat announced this after a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, at the United Nations in the context of the 80th session of the General Assembly.
During the meeting, both foreign ministers discussed regional situations and reaffirmed their “joint stance in defense of the principles of the UN Charter.”
The Bolivarian Republic thanked its counterpart for “the expressions of solidarity received in the face of the military threat in the Caribbean.”
During his speech yesterday in the plenary session of the General Assembly, Gil denounced the “deceitful and criminal” bombing by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic and condemned “the attacks against the territorial integrity and sovereignty” of the Persian nation.
