Chaired by President Xi Jinping, the meeting assessed the proposals of this document, which will be presented at the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, scheduled for October 20-23.
The Political Bureau noted that the proposal accurately reflects current challenges and shows a strategic plan for the next five years.
The text aims to consolidate China’s modernization through reform, openness, innovation, and high-quality development.
The Political Bureau underscored that the 2026-2030 period must guarantee more equitable benefits for the population and combine market and state planning.
It also called for strengthening national security and risk prevention to support economic growth.
The body stressed the need to maintain the Party’s comprehensive leadership throughout the modernization process.
The Central Committee will hold its plenary session in Beijing to approve the final document, which will outline China’s economic and social priorities until 2030.
