China celebrates National Day with focus on deepening modernization

Beijing, Oct 1 (Prensa Latina) All the Sino people celebrate their National Day and the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, focused on deepening modernization and expanding openness.

President Xi Jinping affirmed that the country will advance with unity and effort in this purpose, while speaking at a reception on the occasion of the anniversary at the Great Hall of the People.

Xi stressed that achieving national rejuvenation is an unprecedented great undertaking.

He noted that the Communist Party of China (CPC) is leading the people for 76 years with independence and constant struggle, achieving historic results.

He rememebered that the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and World War II was recently commemorated, which strengthened national spirit and unity.

He also said that the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee will be held in 2025, which will set the guidelines for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
