The military institution specified that 27 unmanned aerial vehicles were eliminated over the Bryansk region, 16 over Volgograd, 15 over Kursk, and the same number over the Peninsula of Crimea, and 11 over Rostov.
The Defense Ministry also reported that 10 enemy drones were shot down over the Voronezh region, eight over Belgorod, six over Leningrad, four over Kaluga, two over Novgorod and the Black Sea, and one over the Smolensk region.
The national air transport agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed at St. Petersburg and Volgograd airports over the last day to preserve flight safety and the lives of passengers.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the population from “the Kiev government’s genocide” and counter national security risks, according to President Vladimir Putin.
