A senior official, on condition of anonymity, told Al Qahera News that the preparations are underway to begin the dialogue, following the progress made in the last few hours.
The official emphasized that Cairo is actively working with all parties to create an environment conducive to the implementation of an exchange agreement. Israeli Channel 12 also announced the start of preparations for the new round of negotiations in the Egyptian capital to end the conflict.
He explained that the specific objective of the first phase is to negotiate three leading points: the mechanism for releasing Israeli detainees captured by the militias, the names of the Palestinian prisoners who will be released in exchange, and the final withdrawal lines for the occupying Army.
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) welcomed last night some elements of the peace plan presented by US President Donald Trump, although it called for negotiations on several issues and avoided commenting on its weapons.
