Students and professors from two of New Delhi’s most important universities delivered signatures and a declaration of support for Venezuela to that nation’s Ambassador to India, Capaya Rodriguez, in the presence of Cuban Ambassador to this country, Juan Marsan, and members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M).

Rodriguez expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown toward her country and stated the importance of the ideas of historic leaders Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro in the beautiful society that Venezuela is building.

The Venezuelan ambassador pointed out that under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro, her country is advancing a just social model despite the threats and unilateral measures of the United States, which has sought only to steal the natural resources belonging to the people since Hugo Chavez took power.

She asserted that the Bolivarian process has the support of most of his people, who are willing to defend their country until victory.

Cuban Ambassador Juan Marsan, in turn, emphasized the importance for the Cubans to stand by Venezuela, its people, government, and organizations, and referred to the current solidarity campaigns in favor of Cuba that recently took place in this South American nation.
