Abdala talked with Prensa Latina and sent a message to the Cuban people that, he said, need international solidarity.
He underscored that this is a permanent task of the PIT-CNT, which is currently promoting a campaign to raise medical supplies and food for Cuba.
The PIT-CNT chief repudiated the economic, financial, commercial, and other siege that the United States government imposes on the Caribbean country.
Cuba is an example in the continent of social inclusion, in education, health, culture, and other areas of life that in other nations are considered commodities, he said.
Abdala warned that the fierce blockade, reinforced under the administration of President Donald Trump, seeks to undermine Cuba’s social achievements and cause suffering to its population.
