The company stated that the documentary “Mi Sueno Cubano” (My Cuban Dream), by Spanish filmmaker Christian Dehugo, an introspective look at the work of LADC, premiered on October 26 at the Valladolid International Film Week (Seminci), Spain.
The 70th edition of the event included the screening of a 90-minute documentary that reflects the strong social and artistic commitment of the company founded 34 years ago by teacher, director, and choreographer Lizt Alfonso.
The film provides insight into the dimensions reached by the artist’s dream and how its development has transformed the lives of generations of Cubans, with educational, academic, social, and artistic repercussions.
A mixed audience of teachers, dancers, students, and choreographers, figures from the dance world such as Spanish director, choreographer, and dancer Lola Eiffel, and people of diverse backgrounds and ages, attended the documentary’s world premiere.
