The children, accompanied by 73 others, are suffering from injuries after the Israeli Army’s attacks in Gaza. Some also arrive with congenital heart, neurological, ophthalmological, and nephrological conditions.

They were received at the Torrejon de Ardoz air base (Madrid) after being evacuated from Gaza to receive care in Spanish hospitals, in Castilla La Mancha, Asturias, Castilla y Leon, the Basque Country, Navarra, Murcia, Aragon, and Catalonia.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense, which emphasized that this is the fifth evacuation operation organized by the Ministry of Health in the last year.

“The Ministry of Health and the Government of Spain will continue to do everything in our power to assist the Palestinian population, who have been victims of Israel’s brutal offensive, which continues despite the ceasefire,” Dr. Monica Garcia, head of the ministry, stated.

The head of Health remembered that the Iberian country was the first to activate this procedure with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Commission, and that others have since joined.
