As part of these solidarity actions, a call was issued for the signing of the “Call in Defense of Venezuela and for Peace,” which has already garnered thousands of signatures across the country.
The document states that “the threat of a military intervention, a genuine armed aggression by the United States, is becoming increasingly serious and concrete.”
The document warns that the attacks on the Bolivarian nation are also directed against Cuba and Nicaragua.
The lie of war, the false pretext for aggression, in this case is the alleged drug trafficking through Venezuela, even though the United Nations itself has confirmed that the Venezuelan government is actively committed to combating this crime, the text points out.
The true purpose, according to the promoters of this initiative, “is to seize oil, which is increasingly becoming a fundamental resource in the international energy crisis,” as well as “to put an end to the Bolivarian Revolution, a vast process of political and social transformation inspired by socialism and humanism.”
Faced with these threats, “let us take our solidarity to the diplomatic missions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Italy and, together with organizations committed to internationalist solidarity, let us multiply initiatives to make the truth known,” this document, disseminated on social media and news outlets, states.
It reaffirms the importance of activating “our concrete solidarity, in defense of the peace and freedom of peoples, with images, publications, and content, on all online channels and social networks, for peace and rights, against imperialism and its wars.”
