He also noted on social media that he will hold an intensive bilateral agenda in Doha with the aim of elevating economic and trade ties to the same level as political ones.
During the reception, the Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ibrahim Yousif, expressed his appreciation for the Cuban people and deeply regretted the consequences of Hurricane Melissa in the eastern part of the country, wishing for a speedy recovery.
Later in the exchange, he wished the Prime Minister and his delegation “a successful visit and a pleasant stay. Receiving you here is our duty, and we do so with great pleasure.”
For his part, the Cuban head of government noted that his visit is also an expression “of the priority we give to ties with this state” and affirmed that it is “a pleasure to be able to share with our Qatari brothers and sisters.”
He also expressed his satisfaction with having healthcare workers collaborating and with the progress being made in economic and trade matters.
