The meeting will take place at the presidential residence in Prado, in the capital.
Ding Xuexiang will represent his country at the COP30 climate summit, to be held next week in the Brazilian city of Belém, but before that he will fulfill an official agenda here that will conclude tomorrow.
Shortly before his trip, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun affirmed that Uruguay is a traditionally friendly country and a comprehensive strategic partner of his nation.
“China looks forward to working with Uruguay to take advantage of this visit as an opportunity to further promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries,” the spokesman added.
