The president noted that relations between the two nations have been geared this year toward higher-level and higher-quality goals, and are progressing steadily despite the complex international environment.
Xi recalled that he had held two meetings with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and Beijing, during which they discussed new plans for strategic cooperation.
The Chinese head of State also urged close coordination, the implementation of the consensus reached, and working toward the fundamental interests of both peoples, aimed at contributing to world peace and development.
Xi stated that China and Russia should gradually expand mutual investment and enhance cooperation in traditional sectors such as energy, connectivity, agriculture, and aerospace exploration.
He also urged exploring the potential in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), the digital economy, and green development, to create new engines of joint growth.
The president highlighted the importance of cultural and social exchanges and called for broader participation from all sectors in promoting friendship between the two countries.
