The months that contributed to this record were January with 25, February with 26, March with 22, April with 25, May with 25, and June with the same number, July with 29, followed by 27 in August, 23 in September, and 24 in October.

On the other hand, the PNC reported eight murders—five men and three women—that were carried out in different parts of the country.

The count indicated that 58 homicides have occurred nationwide so far this year, according to the institution’s records up to the end of October.

In this regard, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Gustavo Villatoro, assured the Legislative Assembly that there is zero impunity for homicides in the country and that the perpetrators of these crimes are already facing justice.
