The event, part of the Consulate’s regular program to support Cubans living in the country, took place this past weekend at Villa Tapia Municipal Hall, in the northern region of the country.
The meeting was led by the Cuban Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Ángel Arzuaga, and was also attended by Consul Damila Hechavarría and other officials from the Cuban mission.
A Business Forum was also held on this occasion, focusing on investment, business, and trade opportunities in goods and services with Cuba.
The diplomats also toured the grounds, led by the ambassador, to observe the preparations for the Hermanas Mirabal Cultural Festival, an event that has become the province’s premier artistic event.
This year’s highly anticipated celebration will be dedicated to the people of Cuba and Maria Trinidad Sanchez province and will take place from November 21 to 25.
