Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning emphasized Beijing’s condemnation of any act that violates the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and infringes upon the sovereignty and security of other countries.
Mao added, “The United States is expected to conduct normal law enforcement and judicial cooperation through bilateral and multilateral legal frameworks and do more to promote peace and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
This is not the first time Beijing has expressed its support for the Venezuelan people and government amid growing tensions over Washington’s warmongering threats in the Caribbean.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stated on Tuesday that his country is ready talk and to defend peace, but it is also prepared for any contingency.
During a conversation with renowned intellectual Ignacio Ramonet, Maduro affirmed that all popular, social, political, military, and police forces in the country have been urged not to fall for provocations at any time.
