“I am glad to have met with Manturov this morning in Moscow. We took stock of the work carried out since the last, 26th meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation in August 2025,” Jaishankar wrote on social network X after the meeting.
He also said that preparations for the next annual summit between India and Russia scheduled for December 2025 in New Delhi were discussed.
In turn, the Russian government detailed that Jaishankar and Manturov devoted special attention to trade, investment, energy and industrial cooperation.
“The meeting took place in the framework of preparations for the visit to India of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin,” says the government note published on the new messaging application MAX.
The 26th meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation, co-chaired by Manturov and Jaishankar, took place on August 20 in Moscow.
