Among the activities are the Meeting of the Committee of Plenipotentiaries of the Governments of the JINR Member States and the Meeting of the Finance Committee, in Varadero, Matanzas, on December 1-2.

The JINR-Cuba School: Hadronic Structure and Hadronic Matter Physics, and the Latin American Seminar for the Development of Scientific and Technical Collaboration in the Nuclear Sphere among Latin America, the Caribbean, and JINR, will also be held in Havana.

Additionally, a central commemorative event for the 50th Anniversary of Cuba’s entrance into the JINR, Eleonaivys Parsons Lafargue, a specialist in Social Communication at the Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies Agency (AENTA), told Prensa Latina.

It aims to assess the progress of leading science, technology, and innovation projects, the strategic development plan by 2030, scientific and technological collaboration, and strengthen the exchange among scientists, academicians, and training programs.

During the 50 years of scientific collaboration with the JINR, more than 300 Cuban scientists, specialists, and students have participated, having had the opportunity to collaborate and receive training in the field of nuclear sciences.
