The FSB Directorate for the Krasnodar region prevented a planned terrorist attack in Krasnodar City, commissioned by Ukrainian special services, against a regional transport infrastructure, according to a statement released to the press.

The statement also indicates that the planned detonation of railway tracks with an improvised explosive device was intended to disrupt the delivery schedule of military equipment and weapons to the area of ​​the special military operation.

According to the FSB, the man planning the attack is a Ukrainian citizen residing in the Krasnodar region.

The agency detailed that the suspect “was recruited, through a banned social network, by an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine, who tasked him with carrying out the terrorist attack.”

The perpetrator was arrested, and a criminal case has been opened.
