“Yes. We can confirm it. The conversation is scheduled,” Peskov responded to a press request to confirm the date announced by the Turkish president for his phone call with Putin.
Earlier, Erdogan stated at a press briefing in South Africa that he intended to raise during his conversation with Putin the issue of resuming the grain corridor agreements.
The head of State noted that this initiative “was aimed at paving the way for peace” and added that he would like the grain corridor to extend to both Europe and Africa.
Additionally, the Turkish leader added that, during his conversation with Putin, he “plans to discuss what steps can be taken to stop the loss of life.” Erdogan stated that, following these talks, he hoped to discuss their results with the Europeans and US President Donald Trump.
