At the event, Wei Qiang, president of the Ibero-American Chapter of the Association of Returned Students from the West, called for further strengthening of academic and cultural ties between the two countries.
He highlighted the “conceptual resonance between both socialist countries” and expressed his desire to jointly promote commemorative activities that move forward the common cause of development, justice, and sovereignty.
For his part, the director of the National Archives, Liu Chengyong, reaffirmed China’s commitment to dialogue among civilizations and building a community with a shared future for humanity, in tune with the principles of President Xi Jinping.
He emphasized that, for 65 years, both nations have cultivated a friendship based on mutual respect, practical cooperation, and ideological solidarity.
