The 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025) is bustling with activity on its second day, with trade bringing interesting destinations like the ZEDM into the spotlight.
Accredited media outlets at the Fair, such as Cubadebate, are covering the most significant events and new developments, including the inauguration of the ZEDM Pavilion.
The opening ceremony of the pavilion confirmed its consolidation as one of the strategic hubs of the Cuban economy.
The ceremony was presided over by the First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), Carlos Luis Jorge Méndez, accompanied by ministers and representatives of governing bodies for industrial and logistics activities linked to the enclave.
In this regard, the Director General of the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZED Mariel), Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez, pointed out that they are not only opening the doors of a physical space, but also a window to the business, innovation, and partnership opportunities that Cuba offers to the world.
The entity’s pavilion at FIHAV 2025, with more than 60 businesses represented, was designed as a space to showcase investment potential, the project portfolio, and the results of national and foreign companies located in the zone.
During their tour of this area, visitors can hear testimonials from foreign and national companies operating in Mariel, as well as learn about business opportunities in sectors such as the biopharmaceutical industry, renewable energy, logistics, agribusiness, and technology projects.
Considered Cuba’s gateway to the world, the Mariel Special Development Zone reaffirms its role as a platform for advanced industry, logistics, and global trade at FIHAV 2025.
