“Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save two more people who succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. My deepest condolences to the families and friends of the deceased,” Rostov region governor Yuri Sliusar posted on the Telegram social network.
Earlier, Sliusar reported at least one death and 10 injuries from the attack. Eight of the injured were taken to a hospital, and the remaining two were treated at the scene.
Previously, the mayor of Taganrog, Svetlana Kambulova, reported that a massive drone attack caused damage to two apartment buildings, a private residence, a mechanical school building, two industrial enterprises, and a kindergarten. Meanwhile, the national air transport agency, Rosaviatsiya, announced temporary restrictions on flight arrivals and departures at Sochi airport, with the aim of preserving passenger safety.
