Sassou, who heads the International Cooperation and Public-Private Promotion area, referred to the pleasant memories shared between the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and President Nguesso, as well as to the spirit of resistance of the Cuban people over these years.
The island’s president acknowledged the resilience of his people in the face of the blockade imposed by the United States government.
“During the visit, we highlighted the historic and close ties between our brotherly peoples and I thanked the Congolese solidarity,” he added on the social network X.
For his part, the guest expressed Nguesso’s wish that “the Congolese and Cuban people always remain together and support each other,” according to the official Presidency account on the social network X.
This fraternal meeting strengthens bilateral and commercial relations between both nations.
