Through the social network X, Lazo described these ties as “exemplary, characterized by profound brotherhood, mutual trust, and enduring solidarity,” forged on the shared legacy of leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.
“On this historic date, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the brotherly Vietnamese people and their principal authorities,” he expressed, and reiterated the commitment to continue strengthening the solid inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries.
For his part, the Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, emphasized that “the ties between both peoples, Parties, and governments are indestructible and grow stronger every day.”
From the social media platform X, the Cuban Foreign Ministry also extended its sincere congratulations to the people and government of Vietnam, and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The ties between Cuba and Vietnam are characterized by constant and fluid political exchange at the highest level, which has allowed for the development of a broad cooperation agenda in strategic sectors such as food security, biotechnology, the biopharmaceutical sector, public health, education, science and technology, construction, and renewable energy.
Vietnam’s rejection of the United States’ blockade against Cuba is also noteworthy.
