The sixth national meeting of the July 26 Friends Group, a camp in Cuban territory that served as a center for the care of war veterans and disabled veterans, and members of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front, expressed their gratitude for the medical attention they received.
According to activist Raul Martinez, it was a meeting of “friendship and brotherhood” in which nearly 200 people from various departments of the country gathered in Usulutan to express their solidarity with the people and government of Cuba.
As an exoression of this solidarity, funds were raised to address some of the needs of the Cuban people facing the U.S. blockade, the end of which was a central demand of the event.
