“This act constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, the sovereignty of peoples, and regional peace,” the solidarity organization stated in a press release.
It declared that the aggression against a strategic resource like oil is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a systematic policy of harassment and plunder that seeks to break the will of our free peoples.
“In the face of this, we reaffirm our conviction that solidarity between Venezuela and Cuba, and with all the peoples of Our America, is the path to resist and overcome,” it emphasized.
The Movement denounced before the international community “this act of modern piracy,” which jeopardizes the region’s energy security and stability, while demanding an immediate cessation of military and coercive actions that threaten the self-determination of peoples.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to continue building bonds of brotherhood, defending sovereignty, and fighting for peace.
