This support prevailed among those attending the 2025 annual review of the solidarity movement with the island, held at the Cuban Embassy in El Salvador this weekend, where representatives from diverse groups that showed their support for the Cuban people in the year attended the event.
For months, Salvadoran solidarity activists stood shoulder to shoulder with the Cuban people in numerous efforts to ensure that “Cuba remains standing strong” in the face of US aggression, as evidenced by a video compilation of their many acts of solidarity.
From the celebration of Jose Marti’s 172nd birthday in the square where his bust stands in this capital’s historic district, the participation in the “Marathon of Love for Cuba,” to the Apostle’s 130th death anniversary in combat, Salvadorans have been present in their support for the island.
A discussion among students from the University of El Salvador and representatives of the solidarity movement highlighted the historical legacy of Jose Marti.
The tribute to the eternal legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro on his 9th death anniversary, the commemoration of the anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons, Fidel’s 99th birthday, among other activities, conformed the solidarity with Cuba.
