At the night TV program, “Con el Mazo Dando” (With the Sledgehammer), the PSUV Secretary General emphasized that the declaration made by U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday night “provoked indignation among Chavistas and non-Chavistas alike.”

He said this indignation came from people associated with businesses and ordinary citizens, public and private sector workers, women and men, young and old.

He stressed that this indignation is a response to the offensive that the Americans “have been accelerating for the past 17 weeks, turning their cannons on Venezuela in a war of psychological terrorism against the people, solely to steal our oil; it is nothing else,” he asserted.

The Venezuelan political leader denounced as aberrant the pronouncements by the White House chief regarding the desire to seize oil, assets, and other natural resources, thus revealing the true intention of imperialism to plunder Venezuela’s wealth.

“What, Venezuela is stealing land from the United States? What, Venezuela is stealing oil and other assets? For God’s sake! Review history, Mr. President,” Cabello declared.
