The solidarity organization stated in a press release that in this multilateral forum, “the fundamental principle of respect for the self-determination of peoples was reaffirmed, and the policy of harassment that seeks to break the will of our nation was denounced.”
Venezuela’s voice was heard and supported by countries that recognize the legitimacy of its struggle for peace, justice, and independence, the statement affirmed.
“From our Movement, we celebrate that the international community has taken a step in the right direction by opening a debate that brings to light the truth about Venezuela and challenges the unilateral coercive measures that directly affect the lives of millions of citizens,” it noted.
He also reaffirmed active solidarity with the Venezuelan people and the “commitment to continue working, alongside the Cuban people and other sister nations, in building a multipolar world, just and free from hegemonies.”
The friendship between Venezuela, Cuba, and the peoples of the world is strengthened with each shared struggle, and “today we reaffirm that unity and resistance are our greatest weapons against aggression,” he declared.
President Nicolas Maduro, speaking last night at the Productive Engines 2025 Exhibition, stated that “the Security Council is giving its overwhelming support to the country and its right to free navigation and free trade.”
