Israeli forces report new incursions in southern Syria

Damascus, Dec 25 (Prensa Latina) Israeli forces raided several villages in the southern Syrian province of Quneitra, in a new escalation that, according to local authorities, constitutes a violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and international law.

According to reports disseminated by official media, an Israeli unit consisting of two Humvee military vehicles entrered into western Quneitra, beginning its advance from the town of Tell Ahmar al-Gharbi.

The force then moved along the road leading to the villages of Koudna, Ain Ziwan, and Suwaisa, where it deployed within the towns, searched passersby, and restricted the movement of civilians.

The previous day, Israeli troops attacked the al-Mantarah dam in northern Quneitra using a drone. According to the same source, the aircraft dropped several bombs near the reservoir to prevent civilian access.

Occupying forces also fired a flare toward the Tell Krum area, near the city of Jaba in the center of the province, with no casualties reported.

In another incident, Israeli units threw smoke grenades at women and children gathering mushrooms in an area between the villages of Adnaniyah and Ruwayhina in the northern rural area of ​​Quneitra.

The day before, Israeli forces raided several villages in northern Quneitra and the town of Jalma in the western part of the neighboring province of Deraa, where they arrested two young men, according to SANA.
