Russia to launch 52 satellites in last launch of 2025

Moscow, Dec 25 (Prensa Latina) Russia plans to deploy more than 50 satellites into space in what will be its last launch of 2025, the Eurasian country's space corporation, Roscosmos, announced today.

“A Soyuz-2.1b rocket carrying 52 satellites, including the Aist-2T 1 and 2 designed and manufactured by SRC Progress, will launch from the Vostochny Cosmodrome,” Roscosmos announced on the Telegram social network.

The Aist-2T satellites are based on the Aist-2D model, but unlike the latter, they are equipped with a propulsion system for orbital correction and stereoscopic imaging equipment.

They also have a longer operational lifespan and transmit information much faster.

Roscosmos specified that the launch is scheduled for the end of this week, at which point activities at Russian cosmodromes will cease until January 2026, when they will resume after the Slavic Christmas holidays.
