Spokesman Colonel Shi Yi stated that the maneuvers began in Taiwan Strait and in areas to the north, southwest, southeast, and east of the island.
He also noted that the exercise, dubbed “Just Mission-2025,” prioritizes air and naval early warning patrols, comprehensive takeover, blockade of ports and key areas, and multidimensional deterrence from external positions.
The spokesman pointed out that ships and aircraft are approaching the island from multiple directions to assess rapid maneuverability, integrated coordination, and the execution of a systematic encirclement and control operation.
According to the Eastern Theater Command, the deployed forces include units from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force, with joint attack actions among the various branches.
The command organized search and destroy exercises, simulated attacks against land targets, and live-fire exercises against naval targets in maritime and air areas north and southwest of the island.
Additionally, in the central area of the strait, attack exercises against mobile land targets were conducted, involving fighter jets, bombers, and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the military source.
