Addressing the opening of the Seminar on the International Situation and China’s Diplomacy 2025, the top diplomat stated that the Taiwan issue is an internal matter and the core of the country’s fundamental interests.

Wang noted that China firmly opposes the provocations of Taiwanese separatist forces and the massive sale of US weaponry to the island.

He underscored that achieving the complete reunification of the country is an inalienable historical mission, within the framework of the legal defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also indicated that more and more countries are reiterating their adherence to the One China principle, recognizing Taiwan as part of Chinese territory, and opposing any attempt at secession.

Wang pointed out that any action aimed at blocking this historical trend is doomed to failure.
