Cuba honors 32 soldiers killed in aggression against Venezuela

Havana, Jan 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today honors the 32 fighters killed during the military aggression perpetrated by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the morning of January 3.

The deceased belonged to the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the Ministry of the Interior (Minint), and were on Venezuelan territory within the framework of bilateral cooperation in security and defence, in response to a legitimate and transparent request from the Bolivarian government.

The Minint fighters killed in that attack include Colonels Humberto Alfonso Roca Sánchez (67) and Lazaro Evangelio Rodriguez Rodriguez (62); the majors Rodney Izquierdo Valdes (51), Ismael Terrero Ge (47), Rubiel Diaz Cabrera (53) and Hernan Gonzalez Perera (43); as well as Captains Yoel Perez Tabares (48), Addriel Adrian Socartas Tamayo (32) and Bismar Mora Aponta (50).

Lieutenant Colonel Orlando Osoria Lopez (45); first lieutenants Yorlenis Reve Cuza (36), Alejandro Rodriguez Royo (35), Erdwin Rosabal Avalos (35), Daniel Torralba Diaz (34), Yandrys Gonzalez Vega (45), Yordanys Marionis Nuñez (43) and Yunior Estevez Samon (32); Lieutenants Yasmani Dominguez Cardero (32), Fernando Antonio Baez Hidalgo (26) and Yoandys Rojas Perez; and First Officer Giorki Verdecia García (30).

There were also assassinated Captain Adrian Perez Beades (34), NCS Suriel Godales Alarcon (42) and reserve soldiers Adelkis Ayala Almenares (45), Alexander Noda Gutierrez (48), Ervis Martinez Herrera (52), Juan Carlos Guerrero Cisneros (55), Juan David Vargas Vaillant (54), Rafael Enrique Moreno Font (35), Luis Alberto Hidalgo Canals (57), Luis Manuel Jardines Castro (59) and Sandy Amita Lopez (37).

The Cuban government described the attack as an act of state terrorism and reiterated its strongest condemnation of the military and political escalation promoted by Washington against the sovereignty and stability of the Bolivarian nation.
