A total of 116 people released in Venezuela for violence

Caracas, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Ministry for Penitentiary Services announced the release of 116 people linked to acts associated with disrupting the constitutional order and threatening the nation's stability.

The Ministry stated in a press release that this release is “the result of coordinated work with the bodies that make up the Justice System,” and adds to the 187 pardons granted during December 2025.

The statement explained that these actions follow up on the comprehensive review of cases, initiated voluntarily by President Nicolas Maduro.

It noted that this process “has maintained its continuity” under the direction of Acting President Delcy Rodriguez, within the framework of a policy oriented towards justice, dialogue, and the preservation of peace.

“This review procedure will be maintained permanently and continuously, always in strict adherence to the current legal framework,” it emphasized.

It reaffirmed that the State is thus reinforcing its institutional strength and its commitment to administering justice in the exercise of its sovereignty, with measures that contribute to consolidating peace for all the Venezuelan people.
