Upon receiving Cuban Ambassador to this nation, Milena Zaldivar, Meas Kim also highlighted the positive prospects for cooperation in areas of common interest, such as agriculture, education, health, culture, tourism, and trade.
The high-ranking official further acknowledged the island’s potential and its government’s willingness to advance in these areas, despite the complex situation its people face due to the imposition of unjust unilateral coercive measures that have no justification under international law, diplomatic sources told Prensa Latina.
He reiterated Cambodia’s traditional stance of rejecting the tightened US economic, commercial, and financial blockade and the unjust continued inclusion of Cuba in Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.
Zaldivar, in turn, emphasized cooperation as an indispensable driving force of bilateral relations and reaffirmed the willingness to continue joining efforts to achieve mutual benefits and deepen multilateral collaboration, based on solid principles shared over more than six decades of diplomatic relations.
