According to Leyde Rodriguez Hernandez, Cuba’s ambassador to the Holy See, the exhibition comprises 18 works. The opening will be led by renowned collector and promoter of Cuban art Eriberto Bettini, who also serves as the exhibition’s curator.
The event will be presented by PhD. Florana Menendez and will be attended by Vatican officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Vatican, and members of the Cuban Embassy in Italy.
This cultural event is co-sponsored by the Cuban Embassy to the Holy See and the Dicastery for Culture and Education—the body that coordinates Vatican activities in the fields of culture and education worldwide.
It is also supported by prestigious institutions and companies such as Galleria Bettini & Co., the National Museum of Fine Arts of Cuba, the National Council of Visual Arts (CNAP), Salvatori Cornici, and the agency Sol&Med, among other collaborators.
The Cuban diplomat expressed gratitude for the ongoing support received from the Cuban Ministry of Culture, which made the organization of the exhibition possible.
The exhibition, which will remain open to the public until December 15, is part of the celebrations for Cuban Culture Day on October 20.
