Havana, Jan 31 (Prensa Latina) The American writer, poet, and activist Alice Walker -known for her insightful portrayal of African American life and culture- on Wednesday received in Cuba, by presidential decree, the ¨Haydeé Santamaría¨ Medal, in a ceremony held at Casa de las Américas Cultural center in Havana.
